The country of Malaysia is virtually half a world away from the United States and interestingly, flies a flag strikingly similar to Old Glory. It has 14 red and white stripes with red on top. In the cannon position, the blue field has a yellow crescent moon and a yellow 14-pointed star instead of a cluster of 50. The general design was based on the flag of the United States of America, a somewhat surprising fact since the country had been under British rule for many decades. Malaysia’s flag was adopted on September 16, 1963.
A visit to Malaysia promises to be fun and exciting, especially if the visit includes an opportunity to spend time getting to know and observe Mr. Norsalehin. By profession, Salehin is an engineer, but he doesn’t work at his profession anymore. A victim of the world-wide recession? Well, it’s definitely not a good fit to label Salehin as a victim.
In 2007, Salehin decided that he seriously wanted to change his life, perhaps even change his profession. Like other ambitious people, he wanted to greatly improve his lot, start on a different path; perhaps, but he wanted to create a seriously brighter future. How? He had no idea, so he started surfing the net, cruising for a broader, more far reaching business opportunity than was available if he stayed the course with engineering.
That’s how Salehin found the website of Matt Morrow. Of course, Matt’s website featured the Vemma health and business opportunity.
'I didn’t fully understand what I was reading at first, but the Vemma product formulation impressed me,” Salehin calmly said in English, not his primary language.
Salehin understood the value of supplemental nutrition, as he often consumed various vitamin and mineral formulations in addition to his food, but he had no experience with network marketing, had no idea how it worked and was not sure if this was anywhere near the solution for his desire to find a better future for his life. So he kept reading – make that scrutinized – Matt’s website.
There are 12 time-zones between Salehin’s residence in Kuala Lampur, the capital city of Malaysia, and my home in Cape Coral, Florida, so when we first spoke at 2:30 p.m. my time, Salehin was speaking to me at 2:30 <span>a.m</span>., his time. Salehin had been attempting to call me during his daytime and was thwarted by the telephone service, so he decided that calling in the middle of his night might allow the call to go through easier. He called several times, but the call wasn’t connecting properly, who knows why. On my end, caller ID showed '601…” and a bunch of numbers that would not connect when I hit my 'send” button. I thought someone from Mississippi was trying to call me. True to form, I learned, Salehin kept calling until he finally connected. All this serves as a perfect example of perseverance. People who know him agree that Mr. Salehin is worthy of the title of Mr. Perseverance.
In October of 2007, when Salehin found Matt’s website, he read it until he 'comprehended the concept” of putting together a group of people who, like himself, wanted a 'better profession,” one that could be built by consuming and promoting a nutritional drink that could possibly help people develop better health and, for those who chose, an income system that seemed to have no limit.
Salehin called on a few friends, told them of his 'find.” How did the drink taste, they wanted to know. Salehin couldn’t tell them, as he had not received his shipment of Vemma, so he told his friends that 'It HAS to taste good. The system is very successful in America and other places around the world.”
So, consulting Matt’s website for the umpteenth time and going on Faith and Hope with his few people, they started inviting other people 'to attend a meeting to learn about a wonderful health drink coupled to a system for developing a meaningful income by owning their own business.”
I asked Salehin how long a person had to wait before receiving product. I had to ask him twice, because the answer was 'weeks… up to several months…” That was in 2007. What about now, October of 2009. 'Weeks… up to several months…” is the answer. I didn’t want to ask again, so after my conversation with Salehin, I called Matt Morrow.
'Salehin is easily one of the most phenomenal achievers I have ever met,” Matt almost shouted. 'Did he tell you that he and his leaders conduct two formal meetings every week, one on Tuesday and one on Saturday? Did he also tell you that they have between 100 and 300 people per meeting? Salehin is a very modest man; he doesn’t brag on anything. Oh, did he tell you that due to government red tape, they still wait as much as several months for a delivery? And oh yes, in addition to their scheduled meetings, many do home meetings, home parties, week in and week out. I know that group generates about 5,000 Autoship orders every month. When Salehin hit Presidential, he bought himself a BMW. He had it for a month before I found out. Oh, and I know he has at least 20 Diamonds in his group and several others with high recognition levels.”
I had to let Matt go for fear of running out of tape.
Salehin did tell me that he and two friends attended the big Vemma convention in Las Vegas earlier in 2009. 'That was the first time I met Matt and BK and CJ and so many others who I have read about. Next January I expect several of the leaders in my Malaysian group to accompany me to Las Vegas. It’s all so very exciting.”
Matt further mentioned that there is no warehouse in Malaysia yet. Government red tape, again. 'And it still takes way too long for product to get to people, but you’d never know it by the meteoric growth of that group. They show what Burning Desire is all about.”
Next January, when you attend the Vemma Convention in Las Vegas, make it a point to personally meet Salehin. Shake his hand. Maybe, just maybe something wonderful will rub off.
